                          1^ST  MEETING

                    B A T E A – S P A I N

                

                13^th – 17^th February 2007

 

   2 teachers from Slovakia, 3 teachers from Madeira,2 teachers and 2 pupils visited the school in Batea.

   The visitors had a welcome meeting in the school staff room with all the teachers and a headmaster. Later we tasted some typical Batea products for breakfast. Then we visited classes and met lovely children, observe their lessons.

We were also welcomed at Batea town hall by local authorities and representants of parents community.

   We visited interesting places as the Shire, Horta de Sant Joan, Picasso´s              museum, St.Salvador´s monastery. In Gandesa we visited Alta Educative Centre where we met the inspectors and had a very interesting discussion. What was very surprising for us that we learnt about different charge of inspectors in Catalonia than they have in Slovakia. They are more helpers in solving problems than strict controllers.

   The top experience was a celebration – Carneval.We had together with children a great fun.

   Each day in the afternoon we usually had the working meeting related to the theme,activities,aims of our project. That was the time when we learnt about partners´educational systems, their similarities and differences.
